How we make a regional brand matter outside its own city
A method piece. What we do when a business is loved locally and invisible everywhere else.

The shape of the problem
Full cafés at the weekend. A quiet online store. The audience the business already has is standing in the shop. The audience it needs has never heard of it.
The temptation is to post latte art. Everyone posts latte art, which is why it does nothing.
What we build
Content built around the part of the business nobody else can copy. For a roaster that means sourcing, roast profiles, and staff.
- Origin diaries. The head roaster films their own trips on a phone. Rough, honest, no voiceover artist.
- Why this tastes like that. Ninety second explainers connecting a processing method to a flavour note.
- Staff picks. Each location gets a week. Six sites become six distinct voices instead of one corporate one.
- A tagging loop. Every order ships with a card asking for a tag, and a customer gets reposted every single day without fail.
Why the explainers matter
Explainers give people outside the city a reason to care about a business they cannot visit. They are also the format most likely to be saved, which is the signal that tends to matter most for reaching a new audience.
The daily repost habit matters more than it looks. Once people believe they will actually be seen, tagging goes up sharply.
Where it should end up
Subscription revenue becomes the most defensible line in the business, and the content is produced largely by staff who already worked there.
